  • Discuss the significance of various titles for Mary and how she continues to be a powerful and meaningful aspect of the Christian life.

Eschatology

Course Description

Eschatology has been a foundational aspect of the Christian life from its beginning.  Traditionally defined as the study of the “last things” it has come to impact reflection on all aspects of the Christian life.  How we view the end inspires our daily activity, spirituality, and faith.  This aspect of our class will examine key areas of eschatology and their implications for our lives.

Course Objectives

  •          Explore the eschatologies of the New Testament and the context of the early Christian life as it impacted the understanding of the “last things.”
  •          Reflect on the relationship of Creation to Eschatology and how it resets our understanding of Eschatology.
  •          An examination of soteriology (God’s saving work in our lives) and eschatology
