COURSE: CATHOLIC SPIRITUALITY AND THEOLOGICAL RELEFCTION
Course Description:
This class delves into the meaning of spirituality and the stages of spiritual formation. Through a brief review of various Catholic spiritual traditions, the participants will understand how spirituality and spiritual practices are necessarily rooted in religious tradition. A practical guide will be offered to develop a spiritual program of life. Understanding spirituality leads to theology as a practice of creative and critical reflection on our common human experience in relation to God. Participants will learn and engage in a process for theological reflection.

Participants will:
- Develop a foundational understanding of spirituality and its lived reality
- Understand the various spiritual traditions in the Catholic Church
- Explain and observe the various spiritual practices available in the Church
- Articulate the nature of theology in relation to our everyday experience
- Learn the skills for theological reflection
