Called to Compassion, is a radical invitation to create a more compassionate and loving world. Compassion is not a demand or a mere moral emotion. Pope Francis says that “compassion is the language of God.” The invitation is that each participant experiences this language of God, remains open-hearted to compassion, and receives the strength to build more compassionate communities.
Sr. Rosalia Meza, VDMF, is the Senior Director of the Office of Religious Education for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and a member of the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity (VDMF).
