Catholics with disabilities have a right to participate in the sacraments as fully as other members of the local ecclesial community. Catechetical leaders and catechists can make this a reality. This workshop will give practical ways to welcome, prepare and accompany youth with disabilities on the path to reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.

Sr. Kathleen Schipani, currently on the leadership team of the IHM Sisters, was the Director of the Office for Persons with Disabilities, Archdiocese of Philadelphia. She is the past chair of the board of the National Catholic Partnership on Disability. For many years, she has been a catechist to children and adults of all abilities. Sr. Kathleen has presented nationally and internationally on topics related to faith, disability and the Deaf.
