As Jonathan Haidt has recently noted in his book, " The Anxious Generation", we have adopted anti-contemplative practices that are hurting children and adults alike. What can we do about it? In this presentation, participants will discover how slowing down and attending to the things of the liturgy can lead us to encounter Jesus Christ. Through the liturgy, we can be restored to the lost art of contemplation.

Timothy P. O'Malley, Ph.D. is a Catholic Theologian, author and professor.  He serves as the Associate Director for Research at the McGrath Institute for Church Life and Academic Director of the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy. O'Malley's numerous publications are on topics  related to the Eucharist, sacraments, marriage and family, liturgical formation, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and Catholic higher education.
