Pope Francis said that the Sacrament of Confirmation has become the “sacrament of farewell". Without the proper dispositions of faith, the Sacrament of Confirmation is “in danger of remaining an empty rite”. With the proper disposition of faith, however, the sacrament can bear the fruit we long to see in our parishes and in the world. In this session, we will unpack how we can journey with teens so they are “ready" to receive the sacrament.
Dayrin Perez is the Lead Coordinator of Youth Ministry for the Office of Religious Education in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. She has served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for over 15 years in different capacities. Her love for spreading the gospel has been her inspiration for serving as a speaker and retreat leader for parishes and national organizations such as NFCYM. Dayrin is married to her husband Gabriel and has 3 energetic kids.
