6-09: What is the Kerygma, and What Difference Does it Make?

Wondering how to help learners and their families understand why faith formation is so important? Want to instill learners with a desire to grow closer to Christ and his Church? The Directory for Catechesis places kerygma, the essential core of the Gospel message, front and center in our catechesis. In this session, we'll explore the kerygma and discuss practical ways to chare it with our learners.

Dr. Joseph White is a clinical psychologist and Associate Publisher for Catechetical Resources at Our Sunday Visitor (OSV) Publishing. He is the author of 12 books and articles on catechesis, ministry, and spirituality, including,  "Companion to the Directory for Catechesis", and "Listening for God in Everyday Life."
