There is nothing weak about compassion. Jesus does not propose that we stand before the needy as hapless and helpless victims. Jesus calls for a compassionate response from everyone. Through this years' RECongress theme, "Called to Compassion", we are invited to reconsider how we approach and respond to other people especially when they challenge us. In this session, we will explore what compassion is, how it works and how it brings about dignity to those who exercise it and those who receive it.
David Wells lives in Devon, England. He is married to Alison and has three adult children and one grand daughter. He has worked at national, regional and local levels serving the Bishops Conference, dioceses and parishes. David is a catechist, teacher, speaker, storyteller and author. He has presented at over 2,000 conferences around the world. David has authored three books published by Novalis publications.
