Today, a young person’s trust in religious institutions is low, but their trust in relationships with religious people is still high. This “new normal” challenges us to develop new approaches that make young people feel “noticed-named-known,” and are sensitive to this new sequence: “belong-before-believed”. It calls us to reimagine our ministry to help us become better at listening, transparency, integrity, care and expertise.
