At a pivotal point in his moral teachings, Jesus challenges us to be compassionate as our heavenly Father is compassionate. What’s contained in that challenge? What’s the real difficulty in living that out? Where does his challenge take us further than what’s best in our common sense and in contemporary literature? What does that challenge mean in terms compassion for those who hate and oppose us? Fr. Rolheiser will explore Jesus’ ultimate challenge: love the way God loved.
Fr. Ronald Rolheiser, is a Roman Catholic priest and faculty member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
