Friday, February 24 | Period 1 | 10:00am - 11:15am

Join Jodee Blanco as she brings participants inside the heart and mind of the bullied child and the bully and offers practical, intuitive, core-Catholic based strategies for intervention and healing. Session includes what you should never say to a bullied child and why; what you should say and do; the two types of bullying and why one is innocuous and the other dangerous; the two types of popular students; the typical profile of the bullied child; how to intervene with a bullied child one-on-one or group; and the power of restorative, compassionate discipline.

Jodee Blanco is the author of the seminal NY Times bestseller,  "Please Stop Laughing at Me", and anti-bullying's first voice. One of Catholic education's most trusted presenters, dioceses turn to her regularly for professional development and to implement her anti-bullying program in their schools. Jodee is the author of a series of books for the NCEA and a content provider for The Andrew M. Greeley Center for Catholic Education at Loyola University in the areas of anti-bullying and governance.  She consults for schools and dioceses on enlightened parent communication practices and Catholic values-based crisis management.
