Heart Speaks to Heart: A Dynamic & Engaging Preaching Retreat

o   workshop part of a homily or scripture-based teaching with others?

Join other clergy and lay ministry leaders for an overnight retreat focused on letting our preaching and teaching flow from an encounter with the Lord in prayer and Scripture.

Karen Luna, David Romero,SJ and presenters will help facilitate this time of retreat, which includes small groups, significant personal prayer, and meaningful reflections on preaching and their practical applications.

This Preaching Retreat is part of the Compelling Preaching Initiative through McGrath Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame. 

• When: Friday August 23, 2024, through Saturday, August 24, 2024 
• Time: Check-in at 8:30am. We will promptly begin at 9a.m. Friday and end by 3p.m. Saturday
• Location: Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center 700 N Sunnyside Ave, Sierra Madre, CA 91024 https://materdolorosa.org/
• Who is this retreat for: Any Clergy and Lay minister who preaches and/or teaches scripture-based teachings  (Pastoral Leadership: Pastors, PAs, Deacons, Staff, Director’s - PCL, Ministers, Young Adult Leader, Ministering to Young Adults) 
• Limited to 60 participants 
• Cost: $60.00-Single Room with 3 meals included (Friday: Lunch and Dinner/Saturday: Breakfast and Lunch) *Financial assistance can be provided if needed.Please email kluna@la-archdiocese.org 
• Registration closes once we reach capacity or August 10, 2024. On-site registration IS NOT available.
