The Synodal process challenges us to understand and value women’s presence, diversity, and needs in our Church. Join us to explore why loving women in our Church matters. We are called to be a Church that welcomes and encourages women and girls. How do we encourage ecclesial communities to be prophetic in their hospitality to women and their children?

Sister Teresa Maya is a member of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. She is a lifelong educator with a passion for formation. She has a B.A. from Yale University, an M.A. from the Graduate Theological Union, and a Ph.D. from El Colegio de Mexico. She served in the leadership of her institute and on the presidency of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR). She accompanies other organizations as facilitator and consultant.
