1-09: Just Church: Catholic Social Teaching, Synodality, and Women

Friday, February 24 | Period 1 | 10:00am - 11:15am

This session will introduce participants to the synodal pathway to a "Just Church" that can and should reflect Catholic social teaching in light of the determinations of previous synods. An important measure of justice is an ecclesiology open to participation by all members of the Church, through the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

Dr. Phyllis Zagano is an internationally acclaimed Catholic scholar and lecturer on spirituality and women's issues in the Church, and a world expert on women in the diaconate. Her newest books are, "Just Church: Catholic Social Teaching, Synodlaity, and Women" (Paulist Press) and "Elizabeth Visits the Abbey" (Clear Faith).
