1-04: The Eucharist for Children and Youth with Disabilities

Friday, February 24 | Period 1 | 10:00am - 11:15am 

Starting with an adaptive prayer, this workshop focuses on how to set up your program and classroom where children and youth with disAbilities have a meaningful participation in the Eucharist. Learn about valuable resources available as you prepare a Sensory-friendly mass. A prayer with ASL keywords will serve as a conclusion.

Ana Barraza is an international bilingual speaker and Special Education Teacher with a specialization in fine arts.  She is part of the Loyola Press Speaker Corps, heads the Ministry for Catholics with Disabilities in her diocese, and leads the Adaptive Faith Formation Program in her parish.  Ana has certifications in Digital Evangelization and Entrepreneurship, as well as being certified in Mental Health First Aid.  Ana is the creator and founder of Catholicus, a Catholic entrepreneurship dedicated to facilitating the encounter with Jesus and persons with disabilities.
