From 7 to 9 PM

The Joy of Accompaniment training is formation in the "Art of Accompaniment" to which Pope Francis calls all ministers in the Church. The formation is based in Pope Francis' teachings on this pastoral strategy in conjunction with practical application presented in The Art of Accompaniment text by Colleen Campbell and Thomas Carani.

The training format is hybrid, consisting of asynchronous work with the online community via Moodle, our online learning management system, along with two-hour weekly zoom integration sessions to share and process the material.

The group will meet on Thursdays on the six-week dates assigned for this purpose. Each week will include a series of guided reflections based on The Joy of the Gospel, Christus Vivit, Gaudete et Exsultate exhortations and the Art of Accompaniment text. This will be processed through Moodle forum posts and live zoom sessions. Each week will include a series of guided reflections based on The Joy of the Gospel, Christus Vivit, Gaudete et Exsultate exhortations and the Art of Accompaniment text. “Spiritual accompaniment is the apostolate of intentional relationship that is oriented toward a definitive direction of growth in holiness and transformation in the person of Christ.”

                                                                                          The Art of Accompaniment

A facilitator/companion will be assigned to each participant for the journey. This models the accompaniment pastoral strategy for a more relational Church.
