From its inception, the pueblo of Los Angeles was composed of a diverse group including Native Americans, people of European and African descent. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles is among the most diverse culturally in the United States. The Catholic Church recognizes cultural diversity as an important part of our society. One goal being to encourage the inclusion and fuller participation of all in the life and ministry of the Church.
In that spirit, our keynote speaker will address how we can faithfully respect for all and meaningfully address the liturgical aspects of ministry in a culturally diverse and multigenerational assembly. This address will examine the challenges of ministry in a culturally diverse community and address ways in which we can unite our communities in worship, while honoring the diversity among us, and being faithful to our call to oneness in Christ
