Catholic Bible Institute: Year 3, 2022 - 2023 (English)

The Catholic Bible Institute is a comprehensive, three-year Bible study program: one focuses on the Old Testament, another on the New Testament, and a third year on biblical topics, along with practical skills for facilitating Bible-based programs. The goal of CBI is growth in relationship with Jesus Christ through the study of the Bible and the formation of ministers of the Word for parishes. CBI participants study the Word of God according to Catholic principles and connect the Word with life through prayer, conversation, and written reflection.

The CBI Year 3 is a virtual experience.

The following CBI Practicum sessions occur via Zoom from 9AM to 4PM Pacific Time:

August 20, 2022: Orientation (9am-12pm)

September 24, 2022: Forming Missionary Disciples through the Word of God (Bobby Vidal)

October 29, 2022: Catholic teaching on the Bible (Fr. Felix Just, SJ)

November 19, 2022: Facilitating Adults (Barbara Murphy)

December 17, 2022: Facilitating Young Adults (Karen Luna)

January 21, 2023: Facilitating Teens and Youth (Dayrin Perez)

March 4, 2023: Helping Parents guide their children (Dayrin Perez)

March 25, 2023: Facilitating for Marginalized Communities (TBD)

March 26-June 23, 2023: facilitate a multi-week Bible-based project with a particular community.

June 24, 2023: Wrap Session (9am-12pm)
